Course Description:
The introduction to Oil Painting Course covers crucial information about traditional materials and techniques. Instructor Seth Fite will guide students through the stages of painting — from a basic still life to more complicated subject matter. Students will learn painting best practices; fundamental principles of sight size, value, and color. Each student will leave with a better understanding of how to make a realistic depiction of a subject using the techniques of the Old Masters. Students will learn from live demonstrations, one-on-one instruction, and in-studio practice. This course best suits adults with some drawing experience.
